The way Oliver Baxxter of Broadside brings such emotion to everything he sings is a skill that not many people have. Broadside is a pop rock band based on the East Coast that consists of Baxxter on vocals, Dom Reid on guitar and Pat Diaz on bass. Baxxter uses this aforementioned skill on release "I Think They Know". It starts off with a crunchy yet bouncy guitar, assertive drums and a gorgeous falsetto from Baxxter. It makes you want to dance but the anguish in the chorus can also be felt: This is a nightmare...do they know why I feel so alone?

The next lyrics could be about social anxiety and schizophrenia: The voices on the radio are preaching to me (Why me?)...Everyone's staring I swear/I think they know/I think they know/I think they know.

There’s also a great heavy-ish break around two minutes into the song that perfectly connects with what happened just before it. Also, the music video's about aliens and what it feels like to be in the spotlight.

This is where cyber bullying comes in, along with more falsetto: It must feel so good to know who you are/Judging every single person through a screen from afar.

The song is delivered in a dance-y, alternative package and it's delightful. It's been on repeat for this writer. In fact, it’s at the top of the “On Repeat” playlist on Spotify.

Broadside has switched from SharpTone Records to Thriller Records for this release. Songs that make you feel things are the best ones and this one surely does that.
